From Riverdale to Get Even, Netflix shows like Dare Me to watch

Hello, Netflix Lifers! January is still merrily chugging along and 2021 has yet to prove itself better than 2020, but you’re still here with us talking about Netflix shows, so we’re focusing on the pleasant things in life. Well, the pleasantness of your company at least. This list, however, is all about crime, scandal, and dastardly deeds thanks to the popularity of Dare Me.

The recently axed teen thriller from The USA Network released on Netflix on December 31 and rolled into the streamer’s January offerings for older teens and adults alike. The popularity of the series on the platform may not equate to Netflix saving the show but that doesn’t mean fans aren’t clamoring for shows like Dare Me to sate their thirst for harrowing high school experiences and shady situations.

So, we’ve compiled a list of shows for you to binge. They’re all set in high school with teen protagonists navigating their way through murder and varying degrees of criminal behavior as they balance getting an education with where they land on the social pecking order. First up, a The CW drama that has a cult following and is the face of teen programming on their channel.

1. Riverdale

The high school era of Riverdale is coming to a close starting Wednesday, January 20 when the show returns for its fifth season on The CW. As such, for those inclined, it only seems fitting to binge the first four seasons of the series in preparation for the imminent five-year time jump these characters are about to experience.

Get to know Archie, Jughead, Veronica, and Betty as they solve the mystery of Jason Blossom’s death. Contend with the South Side Serpents gang. Find out why students keep going missing on a prestigious academy’s campus. And start putting the pieces together on a case Riverdale‘s Scooby gang has yet to figure out. Who has it out for Jughead to the point that murder is on the menu?
