Who is the serial killer Night Stalker on Netflix?

Netflix has premiered another enticing original crime documentary, Night Stalker: The Hunt for a Serial Killer. It instantly captures your attention, and the cheerful introduction and tunes help out!

Make no mistake, though, the fun and exciting sequence that introduces the beautiful side of Los Angeles, California, still doesn’t allow audiences to forget what we are watching.

But just in case some did forget, the scene quickly shifts to feature the dark, dangerous side of Los Angeles. And this side of Los Angeles attracts all sorts of people, especially those with ill intentions.

The first episode gives us a very clear picture of how horrifying the Night Stalker’s crimes were, and it’s honestly upsetting. One segment details the kidnapping of Anastasia Hronas, a survivor, who narrates the event herself. You can see the pain on her face as she recalls that terrible night.

Unfortunately, Hronas was not the only child who was kidnapped, assaulted, and then abandoned. And the stories are not any easier to listen to after this.

What made it so difficult to capture the Night Stalker, was that he had no clear motive or victims. He kidnapped and assaulted children, raped adult women, killed women of all ages, killed men of all ages.

Night Stalker’s identity

It’s not until the final seconds of the third episode that we learn the name of the Night Stalker – Richard Ramirez. After many bread crumbs of clues, Ramirez was finally tracked down and in custody. And brilliantly enough, it is Hronas who identified him in a lineup.

The killer Ricard Ramirez has been featured in many projects, both movies and shows, including American Horror Story.

Ramirez was declared guilty on 43 counts and sentenced to death in the gas chamber. However, he died of cancer after two decades on death row.
