As far back as anyone can remember, everyone wanted Goodfellas to be on Netflix. Now their lifelong dreams have finally come true as the Oscar-winning Martin Scorsese film is officially going to be available for subscribers to enjoy just in time for the arrival of the New Year.

Widely regarded as one of the greatest films of all time, Goodfellas is certified fresh on Rotten Tomatoes, and back in 2000, the gangster movie was selected for preservation by the United States Library of Congress into the National Film Registry. There is no shortage of reasons to get excited about the feature that many consider the high point of Scorsese’s career coming to Netflix.

What is Goodfellas about?

Goodfellas tells the riveting story of the rise and fall of mob associate Henry Hill. The narrative dives deep into the former criminal’s life, including his relationship with his wife Karen Hill and his mob Italian crime syndicate partners Tommy DeVito and Jimmy Conway.

Bringing the magnificent movie to life is a legendary cast consisting of several heavy-hitters such as Robert Deniro, Ray Liotta, Lorraine Bracco, and Paul Sorvino, among many other talented individuals. Joe Pesci, who also starred in Goodfellas, received the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor. The film was also nominated for Best Picture and Best Director.

What time is Goodfellas on Netflix?
