15. Mosul

The Russo Brothers are the notorious duo behind such great Marvel Cinematic Universe films such as Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Avengers: Infinity War, and the highest-grossing film of all time, Avengers: Endgame. Now there latest cinematic endeavor comes in the form of the action-packed drama title Mosul. The film was written and directed by Matthew Michael Carnahan and was inspired by Luke Mogelson’s Artice “The Desperate Battle to Destroy ISIS,” which was published in The New Yorker.

Mosul follows a police unit attempting the death-defying task of liberating the Northern Iraq city from thousands of ISIS militants. The Nineveh SWAT Team rescues two police officers who become overrun by the terror group. The skilled squad recruits one of the officers into the fold as they continue on their mysterious mission, encountering all kinds of various people while trying to accomplish their rather difficult goal. The cast for this must-watch ordeal consists of talented individuals, including Waleed Elgadi, Hayat Kamille, Thaer Al-Shayei, Suhail Dabbach, Adam Bessa, and Ahmad Elghanem, among many others. All in all, this is one pulse-pounding thriller that should not be slept on if it was missed when it first came out on Netflix.
