Virgin River season 3 is happening at Netflix. The streaming network officially confirmed the Virgin River season 3 renewal on social media.

We’ve known Virgin River season 3 has been happening for a long time. It was rumored and reported Netflix had picked up the series for a third season, but Netflix just waited to make the announcement official.

If the reports are to be believed, Virgin River season 3 has already started filming. That’s a really good sign because it means we’re probably going to see Virgin River season 3 on Netflix in 2021. It’s going to be a while until the season is released, but it’s good to know that the show is coming back.

The release date announcement also revealed some pretty big information. It looks like Jack is alive and well and, most importantly, not dead! We knew the show wasn’t going to kill off its second-main character, of course. We still don’t know who shot Jack in the season 2 finale.

It also looks like the babies are coming. Charmaine is pregnant with twins in the second season, and in the release date announcement, Breckenridge and Henderson are making the announcement in front of a crib.

I’m sure both of those things are very good news for fans of the series. Things look tricky for some other characters after the season 2 ending.

Virgin River season 3 premiere date on Netflix

As things stand, we’re expecting a November or December 2021 release date for Virgin River season 3. The first and second season have been added to Netflix late in the year, so it’s likely that the third season will follow the same pattern.

As mentioned, production started earlier this year on season 3, so hopefully, things are progressing nicely.

There’s a chance that we could see Virgin River season 3 on Netflix a little bit earlier in 2021, especially because there are so many Netflix shows that have been delayed because of the pandemic. Virgin River season 3 seems to have avoided most of the shutdowns because of the production schedule.
