10 most underrated characters from The Office

We shared a list of 10 characters from The Office that don’t get enough appreciation and should be revered as fan favorites of the legendary series.

A lot of TV shows come and go, with most of them being forgotten. But a few somehow stand the test of time. There are so many reasons why fans have made The Office one of the most popular shows to grace the small screen. The story and the laughs kept everyone entertained, but the characters kept viewers coming back for more.

The Office’s impressive tenure as one of the most-watched programs is a tremendous accomplishment. Years after the series aired its brilliant final episode, the NBC award-winning series has become the go-to for anyone looking for something to watch and is absolutely one of the best background shows. It is still one of the most talked-about and a lot that has to do with the fantastic personalities that masterfully occupy the best paper supplier that the town of Scranton, Pennsylvania, has ever seen.

It’s no mystery which, out of the many talented individuals occupying The Office’s roster, are the ones regarded as the heavy favorites among the incredibly large fanbase. Michael, Jim, Dwight, Pam, and Angela, are all certified first-round Hall of Famers without any doubt. Following behind them in popularity would most assuredly be Phyllis, Stanley, Erin, Ryan, Andy, and Darrel. But what about the rest?

There are so many characters that don’t get the credit they most certainly deserve and should be revered just as much, if not more so in some cases, than the best of the best. Of all the exceptional personnel to proudly occupy the magnificent cast of The Office, we shared 10 remarkable roles from the superb series that undisputably deserve a Dundy for the Most Under-appreciated Character.

1. Kelly Kapoor

If there is one character in The Office that is seriously undervalued, it is none other than Kelly Kapoor. Mindy Kaling’s genius take on Dunder Mifflin’s customer service representative is one of the many reasons why she is such an integral part of the show. From her struggles to find love to her sassy swagger, there is nothing about the most fabulous employee to ever work at a paper supply company that isn’t spectacular. It sometimes feels she doesn’t get the kind of credit she deserves when folks discuss their favorite parts about The Office, and it’s hard to argue her status as a prime contender for a top slot when it comes to revering the most valuable players from The Office.

2. Danny Cordray

Whether it’s Netflix’s Santa Clarita Diet or a small appearance in an episode of The Mandalorian, Deadwood star Timothy Olyphant adds significant value with every project he takes part in, including his brief but memorable stint on The Office. Olyphant played Danny Cordray, a competing salesman who upstaged Michael, Jim, and Dwight on a big sale. This then led to a sting operation where Meredith tried to seduce him. He eventually was hired as a traveling salesman for Dunder Mifflin but was never seen again. However, he did usurp Ryan from receiving another Hottest in the Office Dundie at the prestigious awards event’s final ceremony. Danny Cordray had all the makings of an Office all-star and while he never got to live out that destiny, what he did accomplish in the short amount of time is incredibly under-appreciated by fans.
