Does Jack die in Virgin River?

There are spoilers for Virgin River season 2 below!

Virgin River season 2 premiered on Netflix at the end of November, and it’s still one of the most-watched shows on Netflix more than a week after it’s release. Everyone is asking one of two questions: Who shot Jack? Does Jack die?

Well, we’ve already explored who shot Jack and who the possible suspects are.

Now, it’s time to look at whether or not Virgin River’s hometown hero dies.

So, is this the end of Jack, played by Martin Henderson, in Virgin River? Not at all.

I mean, we won’t know for sure until we see the trailer or something from Virgin River season 3. With that said, it’s highly unlikely that they’ll let Jack die on the floor of his bar when there is so much story left to be told.

Netflix has reportedly renewed Virgin River for season 3, and if the rumors are to be believed, production has already started on the new season.

I can’t speak to whether or not Jack dies in the Virgin River book series by Robyn Carr. It’s possible the leading man could meet his end in the series. He has a knack for winding up in rough situations, and maybe one of these times, he won’t be able to survive the ordeal, but that’s not happening any time soon.

Virgin River is just getting rolling, and while Mel and Alexandra Breckenridge is the draw to the series, everyone loves Jack, too. The show can’t kill him off yet or ever. Mel has endured too much trauma already, and I think the audience just wants to see the character be happy (and maybe get married and have children). That’s the vibe I’m getting from social media anyway.

So, no, Jack isn’t going to die in Virgin River. I’d bet that we’ll find that out pretty soon, unofficially, of course. We won’t really find out that Jack is alive until Virgin River season 3 premieres on Netflix in late 2021.
