Charlie Cox is joining the MCU as Daredevil in Spider-Man-3

Daredevil is officially back but not on Netflix. If the rumors are true, Charlie Cox, who starred as Matthew Murdock and Daredevil in Marvel’s Daredevil, will have a role in Spider-Man 3, according to Murphy’s Multiverse.

Netflix canceled Daredevil after three seasons, but the network retained the rights to the characters involved for a time. Those rights went back to Marvel/Disney recently, which means that any Daredevil storylines or characters are fair game for the MCU and any other movie or series that Marvel makes including the characters.

This is huge news for a variety of reasons. Obviously, it means that Daredevil is back! But, it also means that Marvel is introducing Daredevil into the Marvel Cinematic Universe and is bringing Cox back to star as the Devil of Hell’s Kitchen.

We don’t know what it means for the future of Daredevil or the rest of the characters from the Netflix-Marvel shows. I’m assuming that they’ll revisit Daredevil in a new series on Disney Plus or something like that, but the Daredevil we saw on Netflix doesn’t really jive with the whole PG-13 world of the MCU.

I really want to see Kingpin, played by Vincent D’Onofrio, and the other Daredevil characters in the MCU. We’ll just have to wait and see if that happens.

I really hope this means we’ll get to see more seasons of Daredevil on Disney Plus, Hulu, or another streaming service or network. I’m guessing that Disney Plus is the most likely place the series would end up.

Daredevil is one of the best canceled Netflix shows, so it only makes sense for Disney and Marvel to cash in on the success of the Marvel series on Netflix.

It sounds like, literally, everybody is going to be in Spider-Man 3. Every day, we’re getting new casting confirmations. Honestly, it’s hard to even keep track of all the characters involved, but it sounds like Tobey Maguire, Kirsten Dunst, Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Alfred Molina, Jamie Foxx, J.K. Simmons, and more, according to ComicBook.com.

This movie is going to be wild!
