The Walking Dead ranks No. 16 on the 2020 FanSided 250

FanSided released the 2020 FanSided 250, the ranking of the top 250 fandoms in entertainment and sports, and The Walking Dead is ranked No.16 for TV shows and No. 172 overall.

Not bad at all, especially for a show that has been on for 10 seasons.

There was a lot of competition in the TV fandom category. Many great shows are featured, including Schitt’s Creek (1), Stranger Things (3), The Office (14) and Ozark (15), to only name a few in this category. This list includes many TV Fandoms associated with Netflix, which is exciting to see for fans of the streaming service.

As a major fan of TWD, I think it should have been higher on the list, but there are many newer shows that are really good and deserving of their spot in the ranking.

The Walking Dead has announced that season eleven will be its finals season, but there are still six episodes in its tenth season. Fans are anticipating these bonus episodes scheduled to start airing on Feb. 28, 2021, on AMC.

Next up, there will be 24 episodes in the eleventh and final season. When you think about this eleventh season, it is actually an extended season with the same amount of episodes two seasons would have. Although this will be the end, it will be quite some time before it is officially over.

There are currently two spin-offs series, Fear the Walking Dead and The Walking Dead: World Beyond, with another Carol and Daryl, centered spin-off planned, and the Tales of the Walking Dead anthology series. Fans of TWD Universe have much to look forward to.

The Walking Dead’s fanbase is loyal and unafraid to voice their positive or negative opinions regarding the series. Fans are divided into who their favorite character(s) are and are fiercely protective of their favorites.

This series airs on Sundays on AMC, and seasons one through nine are available to stream on Netflix. There has been no news of when the tenth season will release on the streamer. Since season ten was so broken up, it really is hard to say when this will happen. Especially since AMC has its new channel AMC+ that is a subscription service, and they will want fans to subscribe.
