Christmas time has arrived once again, and that means all the great holiday-themed films rise the ranks to the top of everyone’s watch list. Of all the movies that have become part of the yuletide tradition of being watched year after year, there is no better franchise that meets all the criteria of a great noel-centric motion picture is the Home Alone films. There is no denying that Home Alone and Home Alone 2: Lost In New York are absolute classics, but people shouldn’t sleep on Home Alone 3, which many subscribers are probably wondering if the third film in the series is available on Netflix.

What is Home Alone 3 about?

For those that don’t remember, the first two Home Alone films revolved around Kevin McCallister, played by McCully Caulkin, but the third iteration changed things up. Alex Pruitt replaced Mcallister in Home Alone 3, and Joe Pesci and jeff Daniels’ cat burglar duo was switched out with a foursome of wanted international spies. It even features MCU and Academy-award nominee star Scarlett Johansson in one of her earlier roles playing Alex’s sister.

Alex isn’t abandoned by his family but is actually forced to stay home because of the chickenpox, where he discovers the wanted individuals while spying on his neighbors. They are after a $10 million missile-cloaking chip that was being smuggled in an RC car that was inadvertently taken at the airport by Alex’s neighbor, who gave it to him as a gift for shoveling her driveway.

Then in proper Home Alone fashion, Alex begins to set boobie traps throughout his house, and the four spies suffer various injuries as a young child is clearly outwitting them. While the entire affair isn’t better than the first two Home Alone films, Home Alone 3 does a lot of things fans loved about the originals and puts its own spin on the franchise offering up an exceptional entry that is a worthwhile addition to anyone’s holiday watch list.

Is Home Alone 3 available on Netflix?

Unfortunately, there is only bad news to report to Netflix subscribers as Home Alone 3 is not available on the streaming service. While there is an ample amount of Chritsmas-related material to enjoy on the programs, from romantic comedies all the way to family-friendly favorites, none of the Home Alone films occupy a place within its impressive library.
