It looks like there will be one option to watch Dexter when it leaves Netflix

In many ways, when shows and movies drop off of Netflix it feels like they fall into an unfathomable abyss, never seen again. Okay, maybe that’s a little dramatic but you know what it’s like when you log in expecting to watch something and it’s not there. So if you’re a fan of Dexter, be advised that there is somewhere to turn when you want to catch your favorite serial killer.

It just so happens that Dexter fans won’t have to go far to find Dexter…provided that you still have Showtime.

Dexter will be coming home to Showtime on Demand after it leaves Netflix on December 30.

If you don’t have Showtime on Demand (and you don’t have a DVD collection of all the seasons) then it’s time to binge, binge, binge before it’s gone.

You can also sign up for Showtime on Demand for $8.99 per month, which is available on all major devices and also on the Showtime website.

The move from Netflix to Showtime is a savvy one. At one point in time, everyone wanted their content on Netflix because it gave their shows and movies a new lease on life, but now the streaming landscape has shifted so that every studio and network has its own streaming video on demand (SVOD) service. That said, why give Netflix your content when you can keep it on your own platform?

For Dexter fans, returning to the Showtime on Demand platform means being able to access the entirety of Showtime’s impressive catalog of content, including shows like Shameless and Homeland. In that sense, returning to Showtime to watch Dexter is a win-win for everyone, because that means accessing even more content for your next binge session.
