Curious about The Beast on Netflix? You’ve come to the right place, friends! Starring Fabrizio Gifuni, Lino Musella, and Monica Piseddu, this Italian action movie was produced by Warner Bros Entertainment Italia.

You’ve probably heard of the movie if you use Netflix, considering it’s now #8 on the streaming service’s Top 10 list.

Decider has claimed that if you liked the hit 2008 movie Taken, you might be into this one as well. Or at least, The Beast will probably remind you of Taken in various ways and give you “Taken vibes.” The publication notes that Fabrizio Gifuni is a “broad” and “forceful physical presence” in the film, adding to the old familiar feeling of “a force to be reckoned with” once given to audiences by Liam Neeson.

So if you’re looking for a non-Christmas-themed action film for the holiday season, this could very well be the ticket. Let’s take a closer look to see whatThe Beast is all about.

The Beast synopsis

Fabrizio Gifuni stars as Leonida Riva, an ex-military man who was a Captain in the Special Forces. As noted in Forbes, Riva now suffers from PTSD, as well as a plethora of other ongoing interpersonal and family problems. Inevitably, audiences learn what happened to Riva, but first, he must go on an action-packed mission to save his daughter that brings his past traumas to the surface.

Netflix describes the plot as:

"To rescue his daughter, an unstable Special Forces veteran unleashes his inner beast as he pursues her kidnappers — and soon becomes a suspect himself."
