If you haven’t started watching Euphoria yet, what are you waiting for?

Zendaya stars in the increasingly popular drama television series. So far, it has one very big season under its belt that is definitely worth a watch. The intrigue surrounding Euphoria has remained alive and well since its debut in the summer of 2019.

The Rotten Tomatoes Critics Consensus states that while this one is occasionally “hard to watch,” the HBO show manages to balance, “its brutal honesty with an empathetic — and visually gorgeous — eye to create a uniquely challenging and illuminating series, held together by a powerfully understated performance from Zendaya.” And no one is arguing with that part.

As noted by Digital Spy, the series explores a wide array of true to life topics in an up close and intimate way, ranging from love, identity, trauma, drugs, friendship, sex, and so on. Also noted by the publication, more than 5.5 million viewers tuned into the series premiere. That has to count for something!

Currently, Euphoria fans are still awaiting season 2. But have no fear, friends. The series is definitely coming back for another round. And before that, it will be airing two new episodes to hold fans over until the second season comes out. You can catch the first one on December 6.

What is Euphoria about?

Written by Sam Levinson, Euphoria is actually an American adaptation of an Israeli show of the same name. The story follows a group of complex teens navigating the ups and downs of adolescence, as they grapple with interpersonal relationships, various self-explorations, and realizations. Basically, it has everything you might think of when you think “modern, real teen angst” in one way or another. And the cinematography is stellar.

Need another reason to watch the show? Zendaya scored an Emmy Award for her performance as Rue at this year’s ceremony.

Is Euphoria streaming on Netflix?

Sadly, the show is not on Netflix. As Decider notes, if you search for it on Netflix, a few relevant titles will pop up in its place, including The Kissing Booth 2 and something else titled Euphoria. But don’t be fooled–it just so happens that there’s a 2018 Italian movie by the same name on the platform.

Where to watch Euphoria

Luckily, Euphoria is out there and ready to be streamed. As of right now, the series still calls HBO its only home, and you can find all eight episodes of season one on HBO and HBO Max. You can stream the first of two new episodes on December 6 on either platform.
