Netflix shows: Raising Dion season 2

Raising Dion was supposed to start production in 2020, but with no new information out about the series, it appears like that may be on hold due to the pandemic.

The writers were probably able to start creating the new season before everything was shutdown, but it’s unclear whether anything was filmed or if any of the actors were back on set. Because of all this, the sho will probably be back in 2021. Fingers crossed!

We do know that when the series does come back, there will be eight episodes, one less than the first season. The two main actors, Alisha Wainwright and Ja’Siah Young, who play Nicole and Dion Warren, respectively, will both be back as mother and son.

The story began with Nicole realizing her son, Dion has superpowers. But once she discovers the powers, she then must figure out how to keep him safe from those who want to use his powers for bad, and how to use his powers responsibly.

It’s unclear whether Jason Ritter’s character, Pat, will be back as it looked like he was defeated in the season 1 finale. The finale did end on a cliffhanger with Brayden, another superpowered kid like Dion, possessed by a storm. If the show continues from that point, it’s likely Griffin Faulkner, who plays Brayden, will be back for season 2 as well.
