Netflix shows: You season 3

Creepy Penn Badgley will be back for season 3 of You! When the renewal of You was announced for a third season, Netflix said it wasn’t going to be back until 2021. With the way 2020 has gone, this show being paused in production, or god forbid, canceled would have been awful. It’s for the best that they planned to release season 3 next year.

This coming season will, of course, bring back Penn Badgley as Joe and Victoria Pedretti as Love, but the rest of the cast will be new. Scott Speedman, Travis Van Winkle, Shalita Grant, Saffron Burrows, and Dylan Arnold have been added to the cast this season.

With the way season 2 ended (with Love stabbing Candace in the throat), season 3 is sure to bring all kinds of drama. Clearly, Love is just as murderous and obsessive as Joe and how that turns out is going to be thrilling to watch.

But according to Badgley, they aren’t quite the same. He said in an interview with Entertainment Tonight:

"It’s like, OK yeah, theoretically they’re the same – but then he denies her, which again brings up the archetypes of man and woman and the oppression of women, the inequality of men and women…she doesn’t appear to be the same kind of person, she doesn’t appear to be the same kind of predator."

We also know that Love is currently carrying Joe’s child so that will add another layer to the drama and the tension between them. But a child and moving to the suburbs with Love isn’t going to change Joe’s ways. At the end of the last season, we also see him spying over his fence, possibly looking for a new target. But will Love get there first?
