Netflix shows: Dogs season 2

Who doesn’t want another season of a show about puppers? Dogs is a docu-series all about the bonds dogs and humans form and how it enriches the lives of both the humans and the dogs. If you’ve watched the first season, you know how emotional these stories can be (especially if you have a dog of your own). Fans have been waiting for season 2 for over two years as the first season came to Netflix in 2018.

The series was renewed in June of 2019, but with the pandemic getting in the way, it seems to be on hold. We don’t even have a trailer yet, so we’ll definitely be waiting until at least 2021. You can’t exactly film dogs and their humans all over the world when the crew can’t get close to their subjects, let alone travel.

The first season showed an American girl with epilepsy and how she got a dog who can detect when her seizures will occur, a Syrian refugee who smuggled his dog, Zeus, into Germany where he lives with the help of an animal welfare organization, and two Japanese groomers who travel to the US for a grooming competition and see that their style clashes with the other groomers.

With the first season being six 50-minute-long episodes, a new season is likely to be the same length. While we definitely could have used some dog stories in 2020, hopefully, 2021 will bring less stress and more dogs!
