Who does Virgin River star Alexandra Breckenridge play in American Horror story?

If you’ve seen Virgin River on Netflix, then chances are you love actress Alexandra Breckenridge as Mel Monroe. Mel is a complex character and Breckenridge has done a great job on the show. While watching the first season, I realized that I recognized the actress from something. Turns out, she has been in a few seasons of American Horror Story!

Alexandra Breckenridge in American Horror Story

Let’s take it all the way back to 2011 when season 1 of American Horror Story premiered. As fans of the show will know, each season takes place in a different setting, with new characters and storylines each time.

The first season, subtitled Murder House, takes place in present-day Los Angeles. The plot revolves around the Harmon family, who have moved across the country to get a fresh start. However, their new dream house keeps sinister secrets. The souls who perished in the house cannot leave and the Harmons struggle to understand who’s dead and who’s alive amid increasingly hostile hauntings.

The first season has some really interesting characters, including Frances Conroy as Moira O’Hara. Moira is the Harmon’s housekeeper and although she appears to Violet (Taissa Farmiga) and Vivien Harmon (Connie Britton) as an old woman, Ben Harmon (Dylan McDermott) has quite a different experience.

To Ben, Moira appears as a seductive young woman in a French maid’s outfit. Alexandra Breckenridge plays this younger version of Moira.

But wait, there’s more! Alexandra Breckenridge also appears in season 3 of American Horror Story, subtitled Coven. She appears in a few episodes as a witch named Kaylee who has pyrokinetic powers. Although Hank (Josh Hamilton) is married to Cordelia (Sarah Paulson), he has an affair with Kaylee.

I know that Alexandra Breckenridge probably has a busy schedule now that she’s the leading lady on Virgin River, but it would be great to see her back on American Horror Story with a bigger role to play.
