6 worst Netflix shows of 2020
Worst Netflix shows of 2020
In this new era of COVID, entertainment has become much more prominent than it ever was. We’ve all spent most of our quarantine days trying to find more Netflix shows and watching new titles.
While Netflix gave us gems like The Queen’s Gambit, Ratched, The Haunting of Bly Manor, and Unsolved Mysteries, it also delivered some Netflix shows that we could have easily just lived without.
In case you haven’t watched them yet, I’ve put together the list of worst shows on Netflix released in 2020 so you know what to avoid next time you are browsing your Netflix catalog.
1. October Faction
Following a monster-hunting couple in a sleepy little town and several other supernatural drama cliches, October Faction, starring Tamara Taylor, J. C. MacKenzie, Aurora Burghart, Gabriel Darku, Wendy Crewson, Megan Follows, and Stephen McHattie, actually starts well, but then it just gives up. The plot development falls short and the acting by the young characters fails to deliver. Things get exciting in the last episode, but to get there is, well, quite a journey. The show gets bonus points for including a racially diverse cast though. It was canceled after one season.
2. Freud
As a fan of horror and a history-psychology buff, Freud had me pumped up but the excess of fiction in the show was really disappointing. More than Freud, the show feels like a Sherlock Holmes wannabe. Come for psychology and stay for a murder mystery that’s average at best. Plus, there’s too much occult, seances, and emphasis on sexuality, again, not really related to the real Freud. But, on the bright side, if you don’t know much about the life of Sigmund Freud or you imagine that the show is about just some guy named Freud who is into solving conspiracy theories, you might actually like the show.
