Oh, and there is a lot of food. Mrs. Clause has the best ways of making broccoli and beans.
Holidate
If you want something a little romantic and fun at the same time, Holidate is a must. Emma Roberts stars in this movie as a perpetually single woman. She’s fed up of everyone trying to set her up on a date, so she makes an arrangement with a stranger.
When they need a date for a holiday, they’ll call each other. They’re just friends, but what happens when they start to fall for each other?
It’s a good laugh and covers all types of holidays throughout the year. It’s sure to keep the blissful feeling after turkey dinner.
Mary Poppins Returns
Still looking for something for the kids? Mary Poppins Returns is one of the must-see movies on Netflix for Thanksgiving. Emily Blunt stars as the titular character, and while not a replacement for Julie Andrews, she does a perfectly splendid job.
It’s something the entire family can enjoy. For those who haven’t seen the first movie, there is plenty going on that is entertaining and easy to follow. For those who have watched the first movie, there are plenty of nods and callbacks.

The Croods
With The Croods: A New Age now in theaters, you may want to catch up on the first movie. The Croods is one of the must-see movies on Netflix for the weekend. Then, when you get a chance, you’ll be able to take the kids to see the sequel.
Set in the stone age, The Croods is a family of cavepeople who are just trying to survive. The father of the family wants to stick to the status quo. His cave is the safest place on Earth, until it isn’t.
When the world around them shifts, the family has to put trust in a stranger to find a new safe place. Can they put differences aside to save their lives?
The Knight Before Christmas
Finally, it’s time for another romance movie. If you love Hallmark movies, this is one for you think Thanksgiving. The Knight Before Christmas stars Vanessa Hudgens as a high school teacher who has given up on love. That is until a knight from the past literally appears in front of her.
As the two start to fall for each other, they have to make choices. Will they give their hearts to each other or will they allow themselves to be separated by time forever?
It’s a beautiful story with plenty to learn from. At the same time, it’s something to put on as you relax after a long day of cooking and a good meal.
