All seasons of Dexter are leaving Netflix in December
Crime dramas are my bread and butter, and Dexter is one of the greats. The series stars Michael C. Hall as Dexter Morgan, a bloodstain pattern analyst working for the Miami Metro Police Department.
However, Dexter is not who he appears to be. Leading a secret life as a serial killer with his own sense of justice, Dexter hunts down killers who have escaped facing repercussions for their crimes.
Dexter also stars Jennifer Carpenter, David Zayas, James Remar, C.S. Lee, Luna Lauren Velez, Desmond Harrington, Julie Benz, Christina Robinson, and Geoff Pierson.
When is Dexter leaving Netflix?
Currently, eight seasons of the show are on Netflix, obviously excluding the 10-episode revival series that is set to premiere sometime in 2021. However, that will change on December 30, 2020 when the series leaves the streaming platform.
If you love Dexter and want to watch shows like it, then look no further! I have some recommendations for you. There are so many great crime dramas on Netflix that my head is spinning just thinking about them all.
Shows like Dexter on Netflix
If you love heart-pounding action, then I would suggest checking out Quantico, Bloodline, or Bodyguard. Quantico is an underrated favorite of mine and Priyanka Chopra shines in the lead role!
If you are someone who enjoys unique shows, then I would recommend Evil, You, Peaky Blinders, or The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story.
If you like sticking to the basics, then take a look at Criminal Minds, Mindhunter, Breaking Bad, or Ozark.
There you have it! If Dexter is your favorite show, then there’s still time to watch it again before it leaves Netflix.
