If you love Virgin River, then I’m happy to tell you that season 2 is set to premiere on Netflix on November 27. Last season ended with a few big cliffhangers and fans can’t wait to see what will happen to Mel Monroe (Alexandra Breckenridge) and the residents of Virgin River in season 2.

As you’ll recall, season 1 starts off with Mel on rocky footing. She arrives in Virgin River still reeling from her husband’s death and to top it all off, her house is not exactly what she was expecting. Doc Mullins isn’t too happy to see her either, as Mel was hired by Mayor Hope McCrea without his knowledge.

Mel soon finds comfort in the local bar owner Jack Sheridan (Martin Henderson). However, their developing feelings for one another are quickly put on hold when Mel discovers that Jack has a girlfriend named Charmaine (Lauren Hammersley).

In the season finale, Hope reveals to Mel that Charmaine is pregnant with Jack’s baby. Despite this bombshell, Jack tells Mel that he’s falling in love with her. The final moments of the episode show Mel packing, telling her sister that she’s headed home.

Season 2 will continue to explore Mel and Jack’s relationship, but will there be a third season of the series? Here’s what we know about season 3 of Virgin River.

Will there be a third season of Virgin River?

As reported by Good Housekeeping, season 3 of Virgin River has been reported to be in the works, although it hasn’t been officially confirmed by Netflix yet. The first season of Virgin River premiered in December 2019, and season 2 is premiering in just a few days. With any luck, we’ll be seeing season 3 in about a year’s time.
