When is Shawn Mendes: In Wonder on Netflix?

It’s time to get up close and personal with Shawn Mendes. The pop music sensation pulls back the curtain on his life behind the scenes in the Netflix documentary Shawn Mendes: In Wonder.

Mendes will unveil the personal doc tonight, Monday, Nov. 23, on Netflix at 3:00 a.m. EST and if you’re on the west coast, you can catch In Wonder at midnight. Surely, Shawn Mendes stans won’t mind staying up a little late to spend a couple of hours with the pop prince.

The wait for the documentary isn’t much longer now, but fans will have to continue waiting for new music. Mendes will release his fourth album, Wonder, on Friday, Dec. 4. The album was preceded by the title track and “Monster” featuring Justin Bieber.

Shawn Mendes: In Wonder marks the first time the successful young star will release a documentary following him through a pivotal moment of his career. In a similar vein as Taylor Swift’s Miss Americana, fans new and old will get to know Mendes and the person behind the hits better than they can from hearing his songs on the radio.

What is Shawn Mendes: In Wonder about?

In Wonder follows Mendes during his recent world tour as the performances wind down and the star grapples with coming of age under the prying eyes of the world. Juggling the pressures of fame and the personal strife he doesn’t bring on stage, as well as a public relationship with fellow hitmaker and collaborator Camila Cabello, Mendes offers a peek inside the reckoning that largely influenced and inspired his fourth album, Wonder.

The film travels with Mendes across the globe as he continues to grow as a live performer and vocalist and catches up with him in quieter moments at home. In Wonder also includes footage from Mendes’s childhood, humble beginnings on the internet and subsequent rise to superstardom. Before he reaches new heights with his next body of work, it’s the perfect time to check in with a legend-in-the-making with a heartfelt, and at times emotional, look behind the music.
