The Princess Switch 2 is one of the must-see movies on Netflix this weekend

As we get closer to December, there are a lot of Christmas movies coming to Netflix. Some of the must-see movies on Netflix this weekend are sure to get you in the holiday spirit.

But you may not feel like getting into the Christmas spirit just yet. We’ve got you covered if that’s the case, too. There is something for everyone this weekend.

Here are the five must-see movies on Netflix this weekend.

The Princess Switch: Switched Again

We’ll get the Christmas-themed movies out of the way. The first is the sequel to The Princess Switch, and this one sees Vanessa Hudgens play three different characters to switch places. It’s a run Christmas rom-com that is sure to offer a bit of entertainment in these dark days.

If you haven’t watched the first one yet, spend the weekend watching both back to back. A third is on its way next year.

Alien Xmas

Need something for the whole family? It’s another Christmas movie. Alien Xmas is about an alien race that invades Earth to take over. It’s up to Santa to help save the day.

Just take a look at this adorable trailer. If it doesn’t entertain you as a parent, I don’t know what will.

Dolly Parton’s Christmas on the Square

The final Christmasy offering is dropping on Netflix on Sunday, Nov. 22. Dolly Parton stars in this movie about a small town facing tough times during the season. I’m sure it will resonate with many people right now, but Dolly Parton will be able to put a smile on many faces.

It’s the musical offering of the must-see movies on Netflix this weekend.

If Anything Happens I Love You

We move away from the Christmas movies to those that are going to be harder to watch. If Anything Happens I Love You is a heartbreaking tale of two parents grieving the loss of their daughter killed in a school shooting. It’s all told through animation.

This type of loss can break couples apart. The movie shows that there is some hope in the darkness, though. Happy memories can pull couples back together.

Loving

Finally, we have a movie based on a true story. Richard and Mildred Loving were just a happy couple living together. However, they were also an interracial couple in 1958 at a time when interracial marriages were outlawed.

When they’re arrested and thrown out of their Virginia home, they decide to fight for their home. They head to the Supreme Court to get the ban on interracial marriages overturned.
