Four Christmases is one of those holiday movies that puts a lot of jolly in the season. Is it also among the Christmas Netflix movies available to watch in 2020?

Unfortunately, at the time of this posting, no, which is a bummer for Netflix subscribers who are fans of the Christmas movie.

However, it is available on other platforms, which we’ll get to. First, let’s revisit what Four Christmases is all about.

What is Four Christmases about?

In a way, Brad (Vince Vaughn) and Kate (Reese Witherspoon) are like a modern-day Scrooge couple. Not that they’re mean like Scrooge or unfeeling like he was, but they are stingy with their time, especially when it comes to giving any of it to their families during the holidays.

But can you blame them? Not if you and your spouse both come from divorced families. It’s enough to make anyone scream the secret password: Mistletoe!

The holidays can be stressful enough trying to juggle which family to visit at what time when you’re only dividing it up between your spouse’s family and your own. However, if you both come from divorced families who gather separately on the holidays? Yeah. Figuring out how to squeeze in visits to four different households becomes a lot of running around.

No wonder Brad and Kate took vacations instead under the guise of volunteer work trips.

Plus, Brad and Kate’s families all have quirks they’re each embarrassed by. Why subject themselves, much less each other, to that?

But when fog grounds their exotic beach getaway to Fiji one Christmas and they have the bad luck of being passengers a news crew interviews, the gig is up. Their families see them on TV. Out of excuses, Brad and Kate have no other option but to run from Brad’s mom and dad’s houses to Kate’s.

Along the way, they end up learning a lot about each other, and that even for all their quirks, their crazy families are also full of a lot of love.
