You season 3: Saffron Burrows upped to series regular along with new casting
Saffron Burrows is just one casting update on You season 3
Get ready for more Dottie on You season 3. Saffron Burrows has been upped from recurring to series regular for the upcoming season.
Deadline reported the news, along with the addition of two new series regulars. There are also nine new actors joining the series in recurring roles, and I can’t wait!
We know very little about the additions and the characters they’ll play. That’s okay, because I love to speculate.
Could Dottie become a problem?
Burrows’s promotion could lead to a few problems for Joe and Love on You season 3. While announcing the promotion, Deadline notes that Dottie wants to be there for her daughter and unborn grandchild. She is ready to be all-in.
With Joe not wanting to commit to Love and having an interest in the neighbor and Love hiding so many deadly secrets, this could be a little too much for both of them. Secrets may come out.
Two new series regulars on You season 3
Halloween‘s Dylan Arnold and Chilling Adventures of Sabrina‘s Tati Gabrielle are the two new series regulars. They’ll play new characters on You season 3, but how much danger will they end up being in?
Arnold is Theo, a college student described as having a complicated relationship with his stepfather. He’s troubled but wise and perceptive, and he also has a problem with dangerous behavior and controlled substances. He may be someone Joe could take under his wing, but he could also be the one that threatens to expose everything.
Gabrielle is Marienne, a librarian who is smart and also perceptive. She is a people watcher, especially when it comes to the entitled. All she wants is to create a better life for herself and her child. This could end up putting her in harm’s way.
The recurring characters on You season 3
The nine recurring characters have little description. Some of them will have direct contact with Joe, while others seem to be connected to other characters, and maybe even Love.
Michaela McManus will play Natalie, the next-door neighbor. We can finally put a face to the new obsession. And he’s going to work as hard as he can to get to know her.
Shannon Chan-Kent will play Kiki, a life coach who is part of the “mean girl” group. She loves to gossip, which could find herself at the wrong end of a blunt instrument.
Ben Mehl will play Dante, a librarian, which suggests he’ll have contact with Marienne. he’s also a veteran with damaged eyesight who just wants to expand his family and help his friends. He sounds like a good guy, but good guys don’t always last in this show.
Chris O’Shea will play Andrew, one of the inner circle and a stay-at-home dad. Oh yes, he loves to gossip.
Christopher Sean plays Brandon, Kiki’s husband. He’s a tech investor and stay-at-home dad. There’s very little shared about him, but chances are he’s pally with Andrew and likes to gossip.
Bryan Safi is Jackson, Andrew’s husband. The two men have a loving marriage, and Jackson has even managed to stay humble despite being a high-powered tech attorney. Something tells me he has some sort of connection to Brandon.
Mackenzie Astin will play Gil, a geology professor who is naive but good-hearted. How much is she going to get mixed up in things by accident?
Ayelet Zurer is Dr. Chandra, a couple’s therapist. Does this suggest Love and Joe are going to therapy? How much will be revealed?
Finally, Jack Fisher has an extra special role. He’ll play Young Joe Goldberg, giving us flashbacks of Joe’s time at a Boy’s Home. Get ready to understand the man more.
You season 3 still doesn’t have a premiere date but will be available on Netflix.
