Netflix shows: Lucifer

Lucifer is coming to an end, but it won’t be all that soon.

What a ride it’s been for Lucifer fans. The series was canceled after three seasons on FOX and left for dead. Netflix saved the series and renewed the show for a fifth and final season. That final season was supposed to be 10 episodes, and then, they announced they’d ordered six more episodes.

Then, Netflix announced Lucifer season 5 would not be the final season, and Netflix renewed the series for a sixth and final season.

Lucifer season 5 premiered on Netflix in August 2020. The season is split into two parts, and the final episodes of the fifth season will be added to Netflix in 2021.

Production on the second half of the season wrapped this fall, and then the cast and crew started production on Lucifer season 6.

At this point, it looks like Lucifer season 6 will be added to Netflix in late 2021. It’s possible that production delays could push the season 6 release date back until 2022, but we’re hoping that won’t be the case.

We’ll let you know when Lucifer season 5 part 2 and Lucifer season 6 is heading to Netflix.
