Netflix has renewed and canceled several popular shows already this year. Below, we shared the full list of renewed and canceled Netflix shows in 2020.

Netflix has finally started a bunch of renewals. We went the first half of 2020 only learning the fate of roughly two dozen shows. In the last few weeks, we’ve already learned about six Netflix shows coming back for new seasons.

Netflix officially confirmed the Virgin River season 3 renewal. It was only a matter of time before that happened. In more shocking news, Netflix announced Locke and Key season 3 is officially happening. We haven’t even seen season 2 yet, but Locke and Key season 2 is coming to Netflix in 2021.

Hoops has been canceled at Netflix. The streaming network also announced that Queen Sono, which had been renewed for season 2, has now been canceled.

Blood of Zeus has been renewed for two more seasons.

Netflix recently announced Space Force is coming back for season 2. On the same day, Netflix canceled The Order after two seasons.

Earlier this fall, Netflix announced The Umbrella Academy is coming back for season 3. We also learned Netflix is planning on renewing Stranger Things for season 5.

Netflix canceled GLOW after renewing the series for season 4. Teenage Bounty Hunters was also canceled. Cobra Kai was renewed for season 4.

Money Heist has been renewed for a fifth and final season on Netflix. The season will be split into two parts.

Netflix also announced a bunch of new renewals! Outer Banks, Sweet Magnolias, The Dragon Prince, and Virgin River are coming back for new seasons at Netflix!

Outer Banks and Sweet Magnolias were renewed for season 2. Virgin River has been renewed for season 3, and the second season hasn’t even been released yet.

Most notably, The Dragon Prince was renewed for FOUR more seasons!

Lucifer, Ozark and Dead to Me are the biggest Netflix shows renewed of the year so far, especially of the shows renewed recently. All three shows have been renewed for final seasons on the streaming service.

The Last Kingdom was also just renewed for season 5 at Netflix!

You, one of the most popular Netflix shows yet, was renewed for season 3 in early January. Shortly after that, we learned about renewals for Sex Education season 3, which is scheduled to begin filming in August.

Luckily, there haven’t been many cancellations announced so far this year. V Wars, AJ and the Queen, Insatiable and Anne with an E are the most high-profile cancellations. Anne with an E is the most beloved of those shows, for sure.

There’s a petition going around right now for Netflix to save Anne with an E and it has nearly one million signatures.
