I know it’s barely mid-November, but if you’re already ready to get the holiday spirit going, I would highly recommend watching Dash and Lily on Netflix. The sweet romantic comedy series premiered on the streaming service this week, and it features tons of reasons to tune in.

For one, Austin Abrams, who you might know from Euphoria, Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark, or Paper Towns, stars in the show. Opposite Abrams is actress Midori Francis, who though doesn’t have as hefty of a resume as her co-star does, is super talented and endearing as well. These two up-and-comers play Dash and Lily, respectively.

On top of that, the story behind this teen drama is adorable. Without ever meeting, the two main characters participate in a game during Christmastime in New York City, trading back clues and dares for one another to do. Of course, they eventually want to meet, and things get complicated.

If you’re interested in reading the book series Dash & Lily is based on, you can buy the first book here.

The episodes are under a half hour long, so it’s an easy watch and will help you feel that holiday warmth. Need another reason to check out this show? Well, the Jonas Brothers make an appearance!

Jonas Brothers’ performance in Dash and Lily

That’s right: Popular boy band the Jonas Brothers show up in the season finale, when Dash is desperate to figure out a way to find Lily. He decides to go to his friend Boomer for advice, who happens to be at a show at Hudson Yards.

And you guessed it, that concert happens to be the Jonas Brothers. Check out a clip from their fun performance below, where they sing their holiday song “Like It’s Christmas.”

After the performance, Nick Jonas also appears in a different scene when he comes into his trailer only to find Dash and his friends hanging out.

Why are the Jonas Brothers in Dash and Lily?

If you’re wondering why the Jonas Brothers made an appearance in this Netflix show, the suspected answer is fairly simple. Nick Jonas actually served as a producer on all eight episodes, so it’s likely he enlisted his brothers to get involved as well. It was a great idea!
