Based on a harrowing true story, The Impossible premiered in 2012 and the film has finally made its way to Netflix.

The movie tells the story of a family attempting to survive the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami, which descends on Thailand while they are there on vacation. The Impossible stars Naomi Watts and Ewan McGregor, but now that people are rewatching it, they’ve noticed that a young Tom Holland plays one of the main characters.

Needless to say, people on Twitter have some feelings about it.

You can check out some reactions from fans on Twitter below.

Even though The Impossible stars Naomi Watts and Ewan McGregor in the title roles, Tom Holland is really great in the film. Now that the movie is on Netflix, people are fairly surprised to see the Spider-Man actor before he became the movie star we all know and love today.

Fans are also comparing his performance in The Impossible to his more recent role in The Devil All the Time. These two films were made about eight years apart, and Holland’s career has only flourished since The Impossible premiered in 2012.

Holland is such a talented actor. He was the perfect choice to play Peter Parker/Spider-Man in the MCU and he has really shown his prowess as a performer in the films he’s appeared in.

To go from playing such a lighthearted role in Spider-Man: Far From Home to then play a conflicted young man in The Devil All the Time must have taken some serious dedication!

No article about Holland would be complete without mentioning his unforgettable performance on Lip Sync Battle, where he danced to Rihanna’s hit song “Umbrella.” Seriously, check it out here and you’ll thank me later.
