What what’s next for Queen Elizabeth II in The Crown season 5?

We don’t know where exactly The Crown season 4 will end, so we can’t say for sure where The Crown season 5 will begin.

The Crown season 5 will not be released on Netflix until 2022, at the earliest. They are taking another break to switch out the main cast again.

This time, Olivia Colman exits as Queen Elizabeth II. Imelda Staunton, who most will recognize as Dolores Umbridge from the Harry Potter movies, is set to join the cast as Queen Elizabeth II.

We know that The Crown isn’t going to be jumping too far into the future for season 5. Creator Peter Morgan said the goal isn’t to catch up to the present day.

That’s interesting because I thought that was the goal of the series when they started. As it turns out, that’s not going to happen.

Likely, we’ll see season 5 take place in the 1990s and then season 6 will be in 2000s. That’s my best prediction.

The Crown was going to end after season 5, but it has been renewed for season 6 at Netflix.

The Crown season 4 premieres on Sunday, Nov. 15. 2020. Don’t miss the new season of the series.
