Will the Demogorgon return in Stranger Things season 4?

It looked like we weren’t going to see any Demogorgons in Stranger Things season 3. Honestly, I missed them throughout the season! There are few things scarier in Stranger Things than those creatures with all those teeth. Obviously, the Mind Flayer is much, much, much scarier, but still.

Anyway, the season ended with Hopper’s death and no Demogorgon, or so we thought.

In the post-credits scene, the Demogorgon was revealed to be in a Russian prison, the same one where the Russians are holding Hopper.

This is not a good thing, although I’m very happy to see a Demogorgon rip some people to shreds in Stranger Things season 4.

The Russians have opened the gate to the Upside Down, it appears. There’s no way the Demogorgon can survive without that tether to the Upside Down, as we saw in the second season. At least, that’s what we’re led to believe.

If that’s true, that means the Mind Flayer has a way back into the world, and it’s only a matter of time before that happens.

This likely means that the Russians are trying to figure out how to train Demogorgons to use them as weapons. Will they be able to do it? We’ll find out!
