Are Jonathan and Nancy still together in Stranger Things season 4?

In Stranger Things season 3, Nancy and Jonathan were fully dating. I think we all thought it would happen in Stranger Things season 2, but Nancy ended up back with Steve before getting with Jonathan by the season’s end.

In Stranger Things season 3, though, both characters live in Hawkins. They work at the same place, the Hawkins Post, and things are, for the most part, pretty easy. Not now.

At the end of the third season, Jonathan and his family leave Hawkins. We don’t know where they are going, and we don’t know if they will stay together.

Long-distance dating isn’t like it is now. There’s no FaceTime. They can’t instant-message or text each other all day long. It’s going to put a strain on their relationship.

Will they be able to survive it? I’m not so sure. I guess it all depends on if you think Nancy and Jonathan are endgame or not. I think they are. Each character brings out the best in the other, and they support each other.

Nancy and Jonathan seem to have the same idea for what they want in life. Nancy doesn’t want to the picket fence or house at the end of the culdesac. She wants to make change happen and do something for herself. Jonathan wants to go to NYU. I’m sure Nancy could go to journalism school somewhere in New York.

I think these two end up together, but it’s going to be a rocky road in season 4. I can feel it.

On the other hand, I could see some interesting things happen in Stranger Things season 4. Mike is dating Eleven and Nancy is dating Jonathan. I could see a situation where the season begins with Mike and Nancy traveling to visit Eleven, Jonathan and the Byers.

We know Stranger Things like to separate the characters into pairs and groups. This would get Mike and Nancy to Will, Eleven, Jonathan and Joyce.
