Who plays Negan’s wife, Lucille, in The Walking Dead?
In a genius casting move, The Walking Dead will have the best possible wife for Negan. Jeffrey Dean Morgan’s real-life wife, Hilaire Burton Morgan, will play his beloved wife, Lucille, in the hit series.
Casting these two love birds together to play on-screen love birds is an outstanding idea.
Burton Morgan will be a guest star in one of the bonus episodes for season 10 and announced this via her Twitter account. Brandon Davis released the news via his exclusive article on ComicBook.com.
The Morgans are an adorable couple who often share things going on in their lives on their social media accounts. Showing they have wonderful real-life chemistry, and it’s certain to follow them in filming.
Fans are hungry for any backstories of their favorite characters, and to get any sort of information on who Negan was before is in high demand. We do know the series Negan differs greatly from the comic book version, so it’s anyone guess where the story will originate.
Below is Burton Morgan’s tweet with the announcement.
You can see from her tweet that she is very excited to work with her husband. This is a brilliant move on AMC’s part because filming is so difficult during this pandemic. Using two people who live together with social distancing not being an issue is a great way to get around this.
Burton Morgan is best known for her portrayal of Peyton Sawyer on One Tree Hill. She recently penned a book, The Rural Diaries: Love, Livestock, and Big Life Lessons Down on Mischief Farm, which chronicles their lives on their farm.
The release of the Here’s Negan prequel comic has fans begging to see his backstory acted out by Morgan. We do know his wife Lucille had cancer and died right as the world was being overrun by the undead. Is this the story we will get in the episode that The Morgan’s are filming? We can certainly hope so.
There is no definite release date for the six bonus episodes of season ten of The Walking Dead, but it is being speculated that it will be in 2021.
