Flint Town

Anonymous Content, the production company behind such Netflix hits as The OA, 13 Reasons Why, Maniac, and Bonding, have teamed with ZC/DC to develop a very engaging and alluring documentary television series called Flint Town. The informative show centers on the conflicted emotions and thoughts of the members of law enforcement dealing with rising levels of crime and poverty in the struggling town of Flint, Michigan. The infamous Flint Water crisis and diminished budget for public services only add to the problems faced by police officers in that area. Each of the brilliantly crafted eight episodes that were filmed from November 2015 to early 2017, including the Presidential Election that took place in 2016, offers an unflinching look at this devastating ordeal.

The department featured in the gripping Netflix series was once armed with 300 officers. But Flint Town’s police ranks quickly decrease as less than 100 cops are expected to effectively and safely protect and serve an estimated 100,000 people. Whether it’s the dwindling resources or the decaying infrastructure, the one thing the documentary series showcases perfectly is that Flint, Michigan, needs help. Subscribers looking to see what’s really going down over there should definitely add this title to their watch list.
