The film takes a sharper look at Hollywood’s representation of transgender folk in film and television as well as the impact these representations have on have on American culture and the trans lives watching. More than anything, Disclosure shows how much progress has been made and how much still needs to happen.

Disclosure: Trans Lives on Screen first premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in January 2020 before making its worldwide streaming debut on Netflix in June. The documentary earned positive reception from critics and holds a near-perfect 98% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Viewers will recognize multiple famous faces in the film, which features appearances from Laverne Cox, Mj Rodriguez, Angelica Ross and many more successful trans actors, artists and activists. Without a doubt, a documentary film doesn’t get more must-watch than Disclosure.
