Riverdale star Cole Sprouse has a new leading lady

The Riverdale star seems to have moved on after breaking up with costar Lili Reinhart

The real-life Bughead romance seems to be moving on for good as Riverdale star Cole Sprouse was spotted getting close to his new leading lady Reina Silva in Vancouver over the weekend. Previously, Sprouse had been dating his Riverdale co-star Lili Reinhart until their breakup in March.

Silva is a 22-year old model who became close to Sprouse thanks to his love of photography. The pair were spotted in Vancouver getting close to each other, with Sprouse planting a kiss on her cheek.

Sprouse is back in Canada to work on Riverdale’s fifth season. Back in August, he confirmed that he had split from Reinhart but that the two remained close (thankfully, because they work together) and he even plugged her new movie Chemical Hearts and told his fans to see it.

The former couple split in January and then made the split permanent in March. “What an incredible experience I had, I’ll always feel lucky and cherish that I had the chance to fall in love. I wish her nothing but the utmost love and happiness moving forward. All I’ll say about it, anything else you hear doesn’t matter,” Sprouse wrote on social media.

It’s not uncommon for celebrities to date fellow cast members, and in the case of Sprouse and Reinhart it was every Riverdale fan’s dream come true to see the two stars getting close in real life just like their onscreen counterparts Jughead and Betty, or Bughead as they’re collectively known. However, just like Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart (Twilight) and Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie (Mr. and Mrs. Smith), relationships between costars don’t often lead to happy ever after endings for the real-life couples.

For now it seems like Sprouse is happy with his new love, and we wish everyone the best in their search for love.
