Netflix adds 19 new movies and shows this week

It’s the week of Halloween! While that means lots of scary movie marathons, there is still plenty of new movies and shows coming out on Netflix this week for those who aren’t into scaring the crap out of themselves.

Whether you’re looking to start the winter holidays early and want a Christmas romance to watch, looking to check out the latest season of a network series, or you are looking for a new Netflix horror film, the streaming service has something for everyone this week.

If you’re in the mood for the most wonderful time of the year, Holidate is the perfect movie to watch to get into the Xmas spirit. It hits Netflix on Wednesday, Oct. 28 and stars Emma Roberts, Kristin Chenowith, Luke Bracey, Frances Fisher, Andrew Bachelor, and Jessica Capshaw.

The film follows two single people who are tired of their families hassling them for not having a significant other. So they meet up and plan to “holidate” and take each other to each holiday occasion they need to attend throughout the year.

Looking to catch the last season of Agents of SHIELD? You’re in luck because season 7 is coming to Netflix on Friday, Oct. 30. This is the final season of the series and follows the SHIELD team as they are lost in time and trying to prevent an alien invasion. You know, just you’re average Monday morning job stuff.

The season starts in 1931 but the agents travel through time to 1955 and Area 51 as well as 1973 and 1982. Whether you want to watch the season for the first time or rewatch it, this is a season you don’t want to miss if you’re a fan of the show.

Or are you looking for a thrilling horror movie? If so, you need to check out His House on Friday, Oct. 30, just in time for Halloween. The film stars Bradley Banton, Mevis Birungi, Javier Botet, and Vivian Bridson and follows a refugee couple who escape from South Sudan to England. But their new life is anything but easy as their new home leaves much to be desired and evil haunts their English town.

This week also brings the 2013 film Metallica Through The Never on Wednesday, Oct. 28. It stars the members of the famous band and Dane DeHaan who plays their roadie, Trip, who’s on what is supposed to be a simple mission, but ends up turning into the ultimate adventure.
