While Netflix has canceled its fair share of popular shows, the streaming network has also revived a number of big shows. Lucifer, Fuller House, and Gilmore Girls are probably the most famous canceled shows to be revived at Netflix.

There have been a number of shows that Netflix has saved. Some of them have been hits, like Lucifer, Longmire, Fuller House, and more. Other canceled shows have been misses, like Arrested Development and Designated Survivor. It’s still good to see Netflix try to cater to these fanbases and save stories that fans care about.

Even Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt falls into the category of shows that Netflix has saved. It was not picked up at NBC and left for dead before Netflix stepped in and saved the show. Cobra Kai wasn’t canceled at YouTube, but Netflix did buy the rights to the series and there are at least two more seasons of Cobra Kai in the works. They’ll be available to stream exclusively on Netflix.

Did Netflix pick up Shadowhunters?

We often get asked if Netflix will save Shadowhunters. It’s probably one of two shows that the fans are most interested in.

The series was canceled at Freeform after three seasons. The end of the series was announced before the release of the third season, so they were able to come up with a decent conclusion for the end of the series. There’s still so much story left to be told.

Immediately after the cancellation, a massive fan campaign started to try to save the show. #SaveShadowhunters was everywhere, and Netflix seemed like the most likely place for the series.

Unfortunately, Netflix passed on saving the series. Fans are still hopeful that Netflix or another network will save the series, but it doesn’t look like that will be happening anytime soon.
