Sci-fi movies on Netflix: Battle: Los Angeles (2011)

The best way to describe the science fiction war film Battle: Los Angeles available on Netflix is that it’s basically Black Hawk Down meets War of the Worlds. The entire film depicts a war between humans and extraterrestrials that makes it feel like the entire ordeal was based on true events. The battle sequences, fight scenes, and overall tone of the film is both exhilarating and breathtaking, keeping viewers enthralled and engaged every step of the way until the final Rame. The film helmed by the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles reboot director Jonathan Liebesman stars Aaron Eckhart and features an all-star cast including Michelle Rodriguez, Michale Pena, Bridget Moynahan, Ne-Yo, and Ramon Rodriguez.

Battle: Los Angeles follows a squad of Marines caught up in the defense against a global invasion and the evacuation of one of California’s largest cities. Along with a group of civilian survivors, they all inadvertently become Earth’s last line of defense against an enemy they know very little about. Whether it’s the devastating drone attacks or the menacing foot soldiers, these patriots will do whatever it takes to survive and make sure these visitors from another world realize just exactly who they are messing with within this war. The stakes have never been higher, and there is no shortage of pulse-pounding action in this sci-fi thrill ride Battle: Los Angles ready and waiting to be enjoyed on Netflix.
