As fans look ahead to You season 3, Netflix announced 3 new cast members

The You circles of influence are expanding for the show’s third season as Netflix announces two new cast members joining the show, which is currently set to premiere in 2021.

According to a tweet from Netflix, “Shalita Grant will play Sherry, a “Mom-fluencer” who appears down to earth, but is actually a mean girl who only pretends to welcome Love into her social circle. Travis VanWinkle will play the wealthy Cary, who invites Joe into his inner circle.”

As fans know, season 2 left off with obsessive serial killer Joe trying to nail down a real relationship with Love despite all of his past tendencies to take things in the absolute wrong direction.

Knowing that Love is in a complicated place at the end of season 2, the idea of a character like Sherry being a social media maven and mean girl is intriguing because she could either be a target, or someone who could unravel Love’s untethered life.

Similarly, as Joe may or may not be falling into old patterns, being introduced into Cary’s social circles could be a boon for him as he meets new people and establishes himself anew.

Interestingly, comments on social media have already suggested that both characters will be dead by the end of the season, which is part of what makes You such an addictive psychological thriller. Just when you think a character is safe, or when you think you know what’s about to happen, everything changes.
