Rainn Wilson is hopeful to revisit The Office

Will The Office reunion/reboot ever happen? Some of us hope so, right? But until that fateful day, perhaps the more votes for yes that come in, the better the odds that it actually will take place.

In fact, the right people with the right pull might be what it truly takes. And this prediction brings me to some potentially very good Dunder Mifflin cast and crew related news; a revisit now has the support of another Dunder Mifflin VIP.

Rainn Wilson is now coming forward in saying that he would definitely be up for a revival of sortsAccording to the actor, he’d love to “revisit” the characters, experiences, and allow the fans to do the same. He’s so on board with The Office reunion, that he has even approached the show’s creator and big boss, Greg Daniels, in an effort to bring the Dunder Mifflin gang back together.

How Dwight of him, right?

Now one of the most-binged shows of all time on Netflix, it’s hard to imagine the NBC series calling anywhere (other than Scranton, of course) its future streaming home. So when Rainn Wilson approached Daniels, he considered the timing of the show’s move to another streaming service first and foremost.

In an interview with Collider, Wilson explained:

I’d love to revisit The Office. I’ve told Greg Daniels that I would love to do something. They’re gearing up for putting it on Peacock. Maybe someday we’ll do something. It’s funny, I hear things like, ‘We can’t do anything because we ended this show perfectly, and we don’t wanna do anything else.’ But then, someone will send some idea that’s just preposterous and I don’t know what to think. Hopefully, one day.

While many still agree to disagree on whether or not The Office reunion is a good idea, Rainn Wilson remains hopeful. But there’s no telling what it will take for real plans to truly begin. Perhaps the final vote needed will be Steve Carell’s. It’s not a far-fetched theory. However, another return to The Office in his role as Michael Scott might be.

Wilson went on to say that the fans would ultimately be into it, and that’s what matters. As the actor puts it, “That’s the thing that counts the most.”

All in all, we agree. Hopefully, “one day” turns into “someday soon” for the reunion. Fingers crossed!
