Millie Bobby Brown almost quit acting after not landing a part on Game of Thrones
Say it ain’t so! Apparently, Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown almost gave up on acting after she was rejected for a role in the high-fantasy drama series Game of Thrones.
She revealed this information during a recent interview with Jimmy Fallon. The TV host asked her about when Stranger Things season 4 would happen, and the conversation soon turned to Brown’s acting career.
As reported by BuzzFeed, Millie Bobby Brown admitted to Jimmy Fallon that she almost gave up on acting after she was passed over for the role of Lyanna Mormont on Game of Thrones, a part that eventually went to Bella Ramsey.
Millie makes it clear in the interview that she really wanted to play Lyanna and the rejection stung, which is why she considered putting acting on the back burner.
The Enola Holmes star goes on to explain how often you face rejection as an actor and that the process of being told no after putting in so much work audition after audition was starting to get to her. Disheartened, Millie decided to audition for a Netflix series called Montauk, an experience that reignited her passion for acting.
The title of Montauk was later changed to Stranger Things and Millie won the role of Eleven!
