Cobra Kai season 4 is officially happening on Netflix

Netflix hasn’t even released the third season yet, and there’s already good news about the Karate Kid revival series. Cobra Kai season 4 is officially happening.

TVLine shared the excellent news. YouTube may have canceled the series, but it’s gained new life at Netflix. The fourth season renewal comes with the announcement of the Cobra Kai season 3 release date, and we couldn’t be more excited.

The news of the renewal is great news. I would say it shouldn’t be surprising news, but we all know what Netflix is like with canceling shows. Despite an excellent start with the release of the first two seasons, there was always the fear that we wouldn’t see the story continue after the already-filmed season 3.

What it does continue to show is that sometimes TV series can suffer from being on the wrong streaming service. They suffer from the wrong type of release. Cobra Kai was always one of the most underrated TV shows on YouTube, and now it’s found its audience by moving to Netflix.

What to expect on Cobra Kai season 4

Sadly, we have no idea what to expect with the fourth season just yet. With season 3 not being released until January 2021, it’s hard to tell where the story could go. After all, we need to see where our favorite characters end up in the season 3 finale.

The third season picks up with the aftermath of the dojo brawl at the high school. Miguel’s life is on the line, and we need to wait to see how that turns out.

With hope, he’s going to make it through. The question is whether the two dojos will be able to find a way to live peacefully next to each other. Can the past be put behind everyone?

At least we can now watch the third season without worrying about the story ending on a cliffhanger. There will be a resolution, whatever the story is.

While the series has moved streaming service, the production team remains the same. We shouldn’t expect a change in style or story just because of the move.
