Emily in Paris, starring Lily Collins, is coming to Netflix tonight

Lily Collins looks fantastic as the title character in the Netflix original series Emily in Paris hits Netflix very soon.

Emily is Paris premieres on Netflix at 12:01 a.m. PT on Friday, October 2. You’ll have to stay up until after 3 a.m. on the East coast to watch the series on Netflix.

Get ready for what will be one of the fall’s go-to series in the rom-com genre.

In the new series, Lily Collins stars Emily, a marketing executive who moves from Chicago to Paris to lend an American view to a French marketing firm.

Collins took to social media to post about the series being featured in NYC and her countdown to the premiere date.

Ashley Park, Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu, Lucas Bravo, Samuel Arnold, Camille Razat and Bruno Gouery also star in the series. And Grey’s Anatomy’s Kate Walsh makes an appearance as well.

The series was created by Darren Star, who is also the genius behind Sex in the City. The series seems to have the same vibe as Sex in the City but with that Parisian flair. The sights of Paris in the background and the outstanding fashions in the foreground. Star is also responsible for fan favorites such as Beverly Hills 90210, Younger and Melrose Place. If you are a fan of his work, you most definitely need to check out Emily in Paris.

Speaking of the fashions, stylist Patricia Fields, who worked as a stylist on Sex in the City and The Devil Wears Prada, works her magic in Emily in Paris. Last year, Collins shared some of the first look fashion photos on her Twitter.  The fashions are always such a fun part of a series like this.

Collins shared with Entertainment Weekly that she was drawn to play the part of Emily because she is a big fan of Star and, of course, Paris.  She also shared that the challenges that Emily faces in the series drew her to the character.

Congratulations are also in order for Collins. She was recently engaged to director Charlie McDowell during a romantic trip to Arizona. Congrats to the happy couple.
