Is In The Tall Grass actually scary?

The Netflix original film In the Tall Grass is based on the novella of the same name written by Joe Hill and Master of Horror Stephen King. Helming this thought-provoking nightmare is none other than renowned horror director Vincenzo Natali who is notoriously known for developing such films as Cube and Splice.

Starring in the frightening ordeal is Insidious and The Conjuring star Patrick Wilson showcasing his expertise at scaring audiences with ease no matter what terrifying take he decides to tell. This supernatural horror film will keep you guessing until the very end and will definitely stay on your mind long after the credit roll.

In The Tall Grass follows Cal and his 6-month pregnant sister Becky who pull over near a field of large grass to hear a young boy cry out for help. They enter the field and get separated. They become disoriented, and the more they try to reconnect, the weirder things get. They soon encounter other people in the grass, which indicates that time may work differently In The Tall Grass. There is some otherworldly force affecting the grass, turning the field into a twisted maze of death that seems impossible to escape.  Armed with solid performances and a perfectly petrifying atmosphere, as well as remaining faithful to the source material, the 2019 Netflix original film is an excellent choice to make anyone run in the opposite direction like they are on fire if they even catch a glimpse of a tall grass field.
