Is Bird Box actually scary?

Love it or hate it, there is no denying that Netflix’s Bird Box is a force to be reckoned with in the horror department and features some extremely panic-inducing sequences.

The petrifying piece starring Sandra Bullock has become one of Netflix’s most-streamed features and started its own Bird Box challenges, endangering fans all over the world. Everything about this film is downright scary, from the source material, all the way to the creature designs that are thankfully scrapped in post-production. Either way, the sensory deprivation concept calibrated to enhance the horror genre has seen some magnificent results with hist like A Quiet Place and the Netflix sensation from director Susanne Bier.

Academy award winner Bullock plays Malorie Hayes in a narrative that shows her tracer sings a long river blindfolded with two small children parallel to the events that lead them to this daring journey. Along the way, we come in contact with an unseeable force that causes anyone to look upon it to quickly kill themselves, sometimes in an atrocious fashion. Those whose minds are broken become loyal servants to the menacing beings making the world a very difficult place to navigate for a number of reasons. In its own brilliance, it showcases the terror that engulfs human beings when venturing into an unknown apocalyptic nightmare, making Bird Box not only an exceptional Netflix horror film but also a haunting experience that no matter what the situation be, people should remove their blindfolds to see.
