What is The Binding on Netflix about?

There are a bunch of great foreign films available to stream on Netflix and it looks like they’ll be adding another one to the list. There’s a new movie coming to Netflix later this week called The Binding. The promotional art for it is incredibly creepy and it looks like the film will be a great scary movie to watch during the Halloween season.

Without further ado, here’s everything we know so far about The Binding, which is set to premiere on Netflix on October 2.

The Binding cast

The Binding will star Riccardo Scamarcio and Federica Rosellini. Actor Sebastiano Filocamo will portray a character named Don Gino. There are actually several movies with the same title and after doing a little digging, I was unable to find out any other character information for The Binding.

The Binding synopsis

The horror title is an Italian-language film set in Southern Italy. The original title for the film is Il legame. The film will follow a young woman visiting her fiancé’s mother. After arriving, sinister events start to occur, and the woman must fight off a malicious curse intent on claiming her daughter.

You can watch the trailer for the upcoming movie below. The only trailer available on YouTube at this time is less than a minute long and the dubbed audio doesn’t exactly match up with the subtitles, but I figured it was better than nothing! I think you pretty much get the gist of the plot regardless.

With the spooky season quickly arriving and with quarantine still very much a thing for most people, I think the demand for horror movies this October might very well be greater than previous years. I could see people adding this scary flick to their watch-list for that very reason.
