Is Beetlejuice available to stream on Netflix this Halloween?

Halloween 2020 falls on a Saturday on the day the clocks go back. That should make it an awesome night to go out and have fun, right? Sadly, this year, more of us than ever will be indoors. At least say that Beetlejuice is available to stream on Netflix.

Beetlejuice is the 1988 movie starring Michael Keaton in the titlular role. Winona Ryder plays Lydia Deetz, the daughter of a couple that moves into a large, old home that happens to be haunted by a couple of ghosts. When these ghosts want the intruders gone, they call upon Beetlejuice to do his thing and get rid of them.

Of course, hilarity ensues. This is a horror-comedy after all, and it’s one of my all-time favorites this time of year. It’s also got a stand-out cast across the board, including Alec Baldwin, Geena Davis, and Annie McEnroe. And we can’t forget that it was directed by the one and only Tim Burton.

So, where are we watching it? Do we really need something other than Netflix?

Beetlejuice isn’t available to stream on Netflix

Sadly, for Halloween 2020, you won’t be able to stream the 1988 horror-comedy on Netflix. The movie is on Peacock.

Update: Beetlejuice was on Peacock at the time of writing this. It’s no longer available on a streaming platform as of yet.

The great news is that Peacock is a free service. Sure, you’ll need to watch ads during the movie, but at least you’re not paying extra for it. If you do want to watch without the ads, you’ll need to get a premium subscription.

Other than that, you’ll need to either buy or rent the movie. I’d go with buying it and then you have it every Halloween to watch as much as you want. After all, once you’ve watched it once, this will become a Halloween staple in your home.

You can buy and rent in all the usual places. Check it out on Amazon Video, Google Play, iTunes, and much more.

Beetlejuice is available to stream on Peacock for free.
