25 Netflix movies and shows you missed this summer

A lot of new Netflix movies and shows came out this summer. To be honest, if something came out in June, do we even remember if we saw it or not? With so many Netflix movies and shows coming out each month, it’s easy to miss something new you either might have wanted to watch but just forgot about or that you never even heard of.

Whether it’s a new Netflix Original based on an evil nurse, a sequel to a popular teen romantic comedy, a new season of a devilishly good show, or a new unexpected movie based on a graphic novel, Netflix definitely brought some winners this summer that you don’t want to pass up. And now that’s it’s fall and the weather means we’re outside less often, you finally have time to do so.

It doesn’t matter if you’re looking for something to help you escape from real life or a scary movie or show to start the spooky season off right, Netflix has you covered no matter what your mood is.

Everything from The Baby-Sitters Club to The Umbrella Academy to Ratched to Cobra Kai came to Netflix this summer and with everything else going on between virtual meetings, virtual school, or just simply trying to figure out every day, it’s easy to miss something you wanted to watch. Well, now’s your chance. Fall is the perfect time to snuggle up with a blanket and your favorite pumpkin spiced drink and settle in to watch a movie or binge-watch a series.

Take a look at 25 Netflix movies and shows that you might have missed this summer.

Netflix movies and shows: Lucifer season 5, part 1

If you’re a Lucifer fan, chances are there’s no way you missed the first part of season 5 when it came on Netflix, but if you did, what better time than now to start watching? This part of season 5 consists of 8 episodes and starts two months after Lucifer returned to Hell.

While Lucifer’s friends may at first have been lost without him, they soon adapt. Chloe and Maze have teamed up to solve a murder and are hanging out to fill the void that Lucifer and Eve leaving caused. But their relationship is tenuous at best.

Additionally, with Lucifer gone, Amenadiel is now in charge of Lux and tries to make the club a little “cleaner” and not so…devilish. His first task is to go after a drug dealer.

In the meantime, over 1,000 years have passed in Hell and Lucifer visits the victim of the crime Chloe and Maze are trying to solve. When he finds out the murder happened in Los Angeles, he knows he must try to find who did it. He ends up saving the day and Chloe’s life, but that doesn’t get him out of Hell. At least not yet.

Lucifer does eventually come back to Los Angeles and continues to help Chloe solve crimes, but he doesn’t seem like himself. While normally, Lucifer brings out people’s deepest desires, this new Lucifer brings out their fears. Overall, he just seems different. And when Maze confronts him on his behavior, it turns out there is a shocking reason for those changes.

Lucifer is one of the most popular shows on Netflix and if you missed it this summer, why not check it out during the fall?  It’s a great, fun but spooky show!
