Stranger Things season 4 will resume production in September

Despite the rumors of Stranger Things possibly not picking up production on season 4 until 2021, we finally got some good news to share!

According to Deadline, Stranger Things season 4 will resume production on Sept. 28, 2020. This is a tentative date so it could possibly change, but as of now, that’s when Netflix’s hit series is scheduled to resume.

We’ve heard some rumblings throughout the months of when production would pick up but nothing was officially confirmed. It was reported back in July that the cast and crew were targeting  Sept. 17, 2020, as a possible restart date but that day has come and gone.

The possible 2021 resume date came from an interview with Caleb McLaughlin when The Hollywood Reporter asked him when would production pick up again and Caleb responded by saying that he wasn’t sure and that it could be “next year.”

As we know, Stranger Things season 4 was in the early stages of production right before Netflix decided to put a stop to all of its current productions due to the COVID-19 pandemic. We know that they spent about two weeks in Lithuania filming and were set to start filming in and around Atlanta in March.

Stranger Things kicked the 2020 year off strong with announcing that Hopper was indeed alive in a small but big teaser that released on Valentine’s Day. In the teaser, we saw our beloved Hopper working hard in the cold for the Russians, which seemed very much against his will.

Less than a month later, Netflix dropped a teaser video for the season 4 table read which included everybody we had hoped for.

If production on season 4 does in fact resume on Sept. 28, 2020, that is not too far off from what we heard before with the Sept. 17, 2020 date. That’s only 11 more days but we understand fans are eager for the new season of Stranger Things.

Everybody wants to know when Stranger Things season 4 will be released but as of right now that is up in the air. If I had to predict when we may see season 4, I would say Christmas 2021 would be a good time. And that is only if production resumes on Sept. 28 as planned and runs smoothly until they can officially wrap up.
